Every once in a while a movie comes along that makes you wonder what in the world they were thinking when they decided to put this movie together. The action is so off the wall, the story line is so ludicrously outrageous, and the fight scenes so incredibly over the top that you have to wonder if it is some kind of joke. But when a movie like this pulls of two hours of fantastic entertainment, then it’s all worth it. “Crank: High Voltage,” starring Jason Statham is such a movie. One you absolutely cannot miss.

There have been plenty of alien invasion movies made in the last fifty years or so. Many people will argue that they are largely a metaphor to explore our collective fears of mutual nuclear destruction. But as we move towards a world free from the fear of indiscriminate atomic bombings, can these metaphors still pack the same entertainment punch?
